Arsenal and Manchester United keeping tabs on struggling Bayern Munich star

English Premier League clubs Manchester United and Arsenal are interested in signing Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane when his contract expires at the end of the campaign.

The last two years have been topsy-turvy for German star Sane. He joined Bayern Munich from Manchester City in 2020, and it looked like a great steal at the time, considering that he had 39 goals and 43 goals in 135 games for the Cityzens and was one of Guardiola’s trusted lieutenants.

However, in the last two years, Sane has been struggling badly. He has not been able to produce the kind of performances that many fans have been used to. His numbers have also dropped, as he has produced 24 goals and 23 assists in 86 appearances.

His performances have been so underwhelming that Bayern Munich went all out for Michael Olise, who has taken over the right wing and has been quite efficient so far.

Sane’s contract Bayern Munich expires at the end of the current campaign, and it does not seem like they are interested in handing him another contract.

Nonetheless, the 28-year-old winger still has admirers in the Premier League. This is as Transfer News Live reports that Manchester United and Arsenal are monitoring Sane’s situation.

Both clubs are desperately in need of attacking talents, and they could swoop in for him when his deal expires as it would even be a cheap option. But if Sane turns a new leaf by the turn of the year, Bayern Munich may be tempted to hand him a new deal, or more clubs could get into the mix.
