Galatasaray Chief hints at big Osimhen move if ‘conditions are right’

Galatasaray’s sporting director, İbrahim Hatipoğlu, has sparked fresh speculation about Victor Osimhen’s future.

The football administrator suggested that the Turkish club may consider a permanent transfer for the Nigerian star if conditions are favourable.

This comes on the heels of Osimhen’s electrifying performance against Tottenham, where he scored twice in their recent Europa League showdown.

The Super Eagles striker, currently on loan from Napoli, joined the Yellow and Reds during the summer transfer window following a drawn-out transfer saga involving his camp, Napoli, and other interested clubs.

Osimhen has quickly endeared himself to Galatasaray supporters, with his goals and commitment on the pitch boosting the team’s ambitions both domestically and in Europe.

Osimhen’s form has attracted serious attention from top clubs, with four reportedly prepared to activate his £75 million release clause as early as January.

However, the 25-year-old forward recently put transfer rumours to rest, affirming his intention to remain at Galatasaray until the end of the season.

“They are talking about January. I am here until the end of the season. I don’t know what Galatasaray and Napoli are talking about after that… We will talk when they tell me. This is a club I really like,” Osimhen said, making his dedication clear.

While Hatipoğlu acknowledged the mounting interest in Osimhen, he was equally clear about Galatasaray’s measured approach to any potential deal.

“Osimhen has many suitors. Today is not the time to talk about things like ‘we will buy or sell’. Of course, if the conditions are right, we will do our best to continue,” he noted.

For now, Osimhen’s commitment to finish the season with Galatasaray has delighted fans and provided a much-needed boost to the club’s prospects.
