Italian giants Inter Milan are looking to sign attacker Federico Chiesa from English Premier League club Liverpool.
Chiesa has been struggling with injuries since last season. In fact, his injury problems was what made Juventus sell him to Liverpool during the summer transfer window.
Unfortunately, since his transfer to Liverpool, he has struggled to get playing. But it hasn’t been due to his quality. Rather, it has been due to his injury problems.
Chiesa has registered only three appearances across all competitions for Liverpool. And the last was at the end of September. Since then, he has been on the treatment table.
Although Liverpool acquired his services for just €12 million, they are growing impatient with Chiesa. He was expected to be a reliable deputy and possible replacement for Mohamed Salah who is already in his 30s and could leaven soon. However, Chiesa has not been able to do much.
Now, according to Transfer News Live, Liverpool may now be tempted to sell him. This is as Inter Milan are considering a transfer for the Italian forward.
Due to his injury problems, the Nerazzurri may be reluctant to sign Chiesa during the January winter transfer window. But if he recovers and posts some good performances before the end of the season, Inter Milan may be encouraged to submit a bid next summer.
The 27-year-old is one of the best wingers that has come out from Italy in recent years. So Inter Milan would not mind having him on their books. Moreover, he has a lot of Serie A experience.
