Italian giants Juventus are considering a shock loan move for Manchester United forward Joshua Zirkzee.
Zirkzee joined the Red devils from Bologna for a fee in the region of about £36.5 million in the summer but has struggled to adapt to the challenges of a new environment with just one goal in 17 appearances this season. His lone goal came on his debut as his second half strike gave Manchester United maximum point in an opening day Premier League fixture against Fulham.
The arrival of new coach Ruben Amorim alongside transfer links to strikers Victor Osimhen and Victor Gyokeres is expected to have an impact Zirkzee’s playing time at Manchester United.
His agent Kia Joorabchian’s relationship with Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli could help speed up the transfer request. Thiago Motta who is currently at Juventus and was the Dutchman’s manager at Bologna last season is also keen in bringing the young striker to Italy.
Zirkzee was an integral part of the Bologna team that finished fifth in the Italian Serie A last season and secured a first-ever qualification for the UEFA Champions League. He scored 12 goals and provided 7 assists in 37 appearances in all competitions as Bologna secured their highest ever league finish.
The former Bayern Munich striker has failed to replicate the form that made former manager Erik Ten Hag bring him to England and will be hoping to secure a move to Turin to reignite his career.
