Premier League strugglers emerge as potential destination for Real Madrid’s Endrick

Premier League bottom-feeders Southampton have reportedly expressed unexpected interest in Real Madrid’s talented young forward Endrick, according to a Spanish report.

Endrick joined Madrid in the summer, finalizing his highly anticipated move to the Santiago Bernabeu in July. Despite his £40m transfer fee, the Brazilian has been relegated to a supporting role in the Los Blancos squad.

Endrick’s limited game time at the Spanish capital, with only one start in a 1-0 loss to Lille in the Champions League and 18 teammates ahead of him in minutes played, has drawn attention.

According to SPORT, several clubs are exploring a January loan move for the teenager, including a surprising interest from Premier League strugglers Southampton.

Southampton sit at the bottom of the Premier League, struggling with the league’s worst attack, having scored just seven goals in 11 matches.

Meanwhile, Endrick, awaiting his first European league start, has scored twice in limited appearances for Real Madrid this season.

Real Valladolid and Roma have been linked with Endrick, with the Italian club seen as the frontrunner. Despite signing last season’s La Liga top scorer Artem Dovbyk, Roma’s striker has managed just four league goals.

While reports last month suggested Endrick planned to stay in Madrid and fight for minutes, his exclusion from Brazil’s November squad, as a result of his lack of playing time, has added to the uncertainty surrounding his future.

If Endrick’s limited opportunities under Ancelotti persist, he might have to seek playing time elsewhere. Whether that journey takes him from the European champions to a Premier League side battling relegation remains uncertain.
