Super Falcons head coach, Justine Madugu, has unveiled a 20-player squad for Nigeria’s upcoming friendly against the Les Bleues of France.
The high-profile encounter between the two sides is scheduled to take place at the Stade Raymond Kopa in the city of Angers, France.
The list features a blend of experienced stars and young talents who don the colours of both local and international clubs.
Among the goalkeepers are Paris FC’s Chiamaka Nnadozie, who remains a reliable presence in goal, alongside Anderline Mgbechi of Rivers Angels and Rachael Unachukwu of Nasarawa Amazons.
The defensive lineup includes seasoned campaigners such as Pachuca Club de Futbol star, Ohale Osinachi, Houston Dash’ Michelle Alozie and the return of Ashleigh Plumptre.
In midfield, Jennifer Echegini from Paris Saint-Germain and Christy Ucheibe of SL Benfica bring a wealth of international experience. Toni Payne, who recently joined Everton Ladies, will be pivotal alongside home-based talents like Josephine Mathias, Shukurat Oladipo, and Adoo Yina.
The attack boasts a formidable lineup, including Gift Monday and Omorinsola Babajide, both representing Costa Adeje Tenerife Egatesa in Spain. Montpellier FC’s Ifeoma Onumonu and Pyramids FC’s Blessing Nkor bring firepower, while Bayelsa Queens’ Mercy Omokwo rounds off the forward line.
