Fenerbahce have stepped up efforts to keep Bright Osayi-Samuel at the club by offering the Nigerian international a new three-year contract deal.
Osayi-Samuel, whose current deal with the Yellow Canaries expires at the end of the season, has reportedly expressed a desire to return to the English Premier League,m.
This has sparked interest from clubs such as Leeds United, Brentford, AFC Bournemouth and a host of others looking to secure his signature since 2023.
However, Fenerbahce remain keen to hold on to the versatile defender and have tabled a significantly improved offer in a bid to persuade him to extend his stay in Istanbul.
The club, which recently secured a contract renewal with İrfan Can Kahveci, is also negotiating similar extensions with Osayi-Samuel and veteran forward Dusan Tadic.
Osayi-Samuel, who joined Fenerbahce from Queens Park Rangers in January 2021, has grown into a key player for the Turkish giants, making 151 appearances across all competitions.
Despite rejecting an earlier contract renewal in the summer, the 27-year-old remains a critical part of manager Jose Mourinho’s plans as Fenerbahce chase silverware this season.
The club hopes that the improved offer, coupled with the prospect of continued success, will convince the Nigerian star to stay.
Meanwhile, with just a few months left on his current deal, speculation around a potential Premier League return continues to intensify. Should he opt not to renew, Osayi-Samuel could leave as a free agent at the end of the season, making him an attractive prospect for EPL suitors.
Fenerbahce are determined to avoid losing one of their standout players and will hope that their latest contract proposal is enough to secure his commitment beyond the current campaign.
