France midfielder Sandie Toletti has expressed her respect for the Super Falcons of Nigeria ahead of their International friendly clash slated to be held in France today.
The Real Madrid midfielder acknowledges the physical and tactical challenge the African giants are likely to pose in their upcoming friendly at the Stade Raymond Kopa in Angers tonight.
The encounter, part of France’s preparation for the UEFA Nations League and the 2025 European Championship, pits two dynamic teams against each other.
For Laurent Bonadie’s Les Bleues, the match is an opportunity to fine-tune their strategies, while for Nigeria, it serves as a chance to test their mettle against one of Europe’s top sides.
Toletti, who plies her trade in Spain’s Liga F, is familiar with some of the Nigerian stars, having faced them in domestic competition. She emphasised the quality and resilience of the Super Falcons, having noted their presence in elite clubs across Europe and the United States.
“I worked with players in Spain. It will be a fight, they are very physical,” she told L’équipe.
“They play in the biggest European clubs or in the United States. It will be hard.”
The Super Falcons, led by coach Justin Madugu, will also use the match to evaluate their squad depth and build cohesion as they prepare for upcoming international competitions.
