Turkish champions Galatasaray are reportedly eyeing Bayer Leverkusen winger Nathan Tella as a key target for the January transfer window.
The Super Lig giants are said to be exploring a loan move for the Super Eagles forward to strengthen their attacking options for the remainder of the season.
Tella, who joined Bayer Leverkusen from Southampton in the summer of 2023, played a part in the club’s Bundesliga-winning campaign under manager Xabi Alonso.
However, despite the team’s success, the 24-year-old has struggled to secure regular minutes, with most of his appearances last season coming off the bench.
In the current campaign, Tella has made just eight appearances for Die Werkself, sparking speculation about his future. Reports suggest that the versatile winger, who previously enjoyed a breakout season on loan at Burnley, may consider a move away from the BayArena in search of more consistent playing time.
Galatasaray are keen to capitalise on the situation, viewing Tella as a valuable addition to their squad. The Turkish club, competing on both domestic and European fronts, aims to bolster its depth as they look to maintain their dominance in the Super Lig and make strides in continental competitions.
The potential move could benefit both parties, with Tella regaining match sharpness and Galatasaray acquiring a dynamic player capable of adding pace and creativity to their attack.
