PSG weighs up surprise swap deal for £52 million Chelsea attacker

French Champions Paris Saint Germain are reportedly interested in a swap deal for Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku.

Nkunku joined Chelsea from German side RB Leipzig in the summer of 2023 for a transfer fee of about £52 million but has struggled to secure a spot in the Blues starting lineup under former manager Mauricio Pochettino and current boss Enzo Maresca who have both preferred Senegalese Striker Nicolas Jackson.

The 27-year old who was previously on the ranks of PSG and made 55 senior team appearances, left the French side in the summer of 2019 and after just five years away, a move back to the Parc de Princes could be on the cards for him.

The Ligue one Champions are reportedly willing to offer 25-year old forward Randal Kolo Muani to the Blues as part of a swap deal that would see Nkunku move the other way.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup silver medalist who has two goals in 425 minutes of action this season has been told he is not in manager Luis Enrique’s plan and would favor a move to England.

Nkunku has scored eleven times in twenty appearances in all competitions for the Blues this season but has started only once in the English Premier League while coming on as a substitute eleven times.

He has however started all four games in the UEFA Conference League scoring five times in four appearances including twice in the 8-0 mauling of NOAH.

The French forward still has five years left on his Chelsea contract but could look to secure a move away with his current chances limited with the Blues.
