“It’s a season to suffer”- Pep Guardiola drops bombshell for Manchester City fans

Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola has stated that he does not see his team getting better after their current run of form which has seen them win just one of their last seven games.

Reigning Premier League champions Manchester City and their coach Guardiola are currently experiencing their worst-ever form, as they have won just one of their last five games in all competitions.

They returned to winning ways last week, after defeating Nottingham Forest 3-0 at the Etihad. However, they were dragged to a 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Guardiola expressed his displeasure after the result, and he believes that his side can not defend their Premier League title anymore.

“It’s a season to suffer. We cannot talk about Premier League title race when we lose four games in a row and draw,” Guardiola said, per Fabrizio Romano.

“We had seven potential starting eleven players injured, and a lot of players with minutes. We take the point vs Palace, it’s fine”.

Manchester City’s draw at Crystal Palace took them to fourth on the table, with 27 points after 15 games. They sit eight points behind leaders Liverpool, who have a game in hand.

Nonetheless, the status quo can still change in the coming weeks, as the Reds have also shown that they can hurt. If Guardiola gets good reinforcements in the January transfer window, Manchester City can still give a good push for the Premier League title.
