West Ham United are reportedly interested in a shock January loan move for Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo.
Adarabioyo joined Chelsea from Fulham in the summer on a free transfer but has been sparingly used by Blues coach Enzo Maresca this season with Levi Colwill and Wesley Fofana ahead of him in the pecking order.
The 27-year old joined on a four year deal till 2028 after his contract expired at the London side in the summer and was initially signed as a replacement for Brazilian defender Thiago Silva who also left the club at the end of the 2023/24 season.
The former Manchester City academy player had previously featured for West Bromich Albion and Blackburn Rovers in the English Championship before moving to London in 2020. He made a total of 132 appearances for the club with 78 of those games in the English Premier League earning 18 clean sheets.
The former Fulham man has played 803 minutes for the Blues in all competitions this season. He has featured in eleven matches in all competitions scoring in the 8-0 thrashing of NOAH in the UEFA Conference League.
In the English Premier League, he has started just three games this season while coming on as a substitute three times. He has however started three of their four games in Europe this season.
The England international could be open to a move to the Hammers in search of more playing time while Julen Lopetegui’s side are interested in a loan move for the defender who is seen as someone that can provide defensive stability for a side that has shipped in a lot of goals this season.
