Report: Manchester United maintain clear stance on Eriksen’s future despite Amorim’s appointment

Former English Premier League champions Manchester United will part ways with Christian Eriksen when his contract expires at the end of the season.

Eriksen joined Manchester United from Brentford in 2022, but he has failed to live up to the billing since he joined.

The Denmark international, who was known for his remarkable passing ability and creativity has failed to show all of that consistently since he joined.

Due to his struggles, Eriksen has struggles to pin down down constant starting shirt at Manchester United. And there have been talks that the 32-year-old midfielder could be on his way out of Manchester City soon.

Since, Ruben Amorim got appointed as Manchester United coach, the Danish star has only played once, signaling that he is surplus to requirements.

Now, according to Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, the Manchester United hierarchy have already made up their minds to let Eriksen leave when his deal expires at the end of the campaign.

The former Tottenham Hotspur star is expected to be one of the many departures which are expected following the appointment of Amorim as coach. As it stands, no club has expressed in taking Eriksen on, but he would likely get a new team when he leaves the Red Devils.

Aside from Eriksen, other players like Jonny Evans, Antony, Victor Lindelof, and Joshua Zirkzee are serious candidates to leave Old Trafford in the summer.
