Super Eagles attacker, Ademola Lookman was awarded the Man Of The Match award following Atalanta’s loss to Real Madrid.
The Nigerian international picked up from where he left off to pull one back during their UEFA Champions League clash against the La Liga giants.
Despite a Vinicius Junior extending Real Madrid’s lead and setting up Jude Bellingham for the Los Blancos’ third goal in the game, Lookman was awarded his sixth MOTM award this season.
In the game, the Super Eagles forward received an excellent pass from inside the box and smashes low into the bottom left corner to pull one back for Gian Gasperini’s men.
Although, this was not enough to claim all three points at the Gewiss Stadium, despite several attempts by the the Bergamo-based club.
This ended their nine-game winning streak in all competitions, but in their next UCL clash against Sturm Graz, the team will be open to bounce back from this defeat and Lookman will be hoping to continue with is momentum.
However, in less than five days, the Super Eagles star, who has been nominated to bag the 2024 CAF Player of The Year award, will know his fate when announce the winner in Morocco.
