“I’d regret”- Pep Guardiola dismisses Manchester City exit rumors

Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola has insisted that he will stay at the club despite their recent poor run of form.

Spanish tactician Guardiola has enjoyed a very successful stay since he arrived at Manchester City in 2016. He has won six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, four EFL Cups, and the UEFA Champions League.

This season, Manchester City started the season well, picking three draws and ten wins from their first 13 games of the season. However, it all fell apart at the end of October.

Guardiola and Manchester have experienced their worst-ever form, as they have picked just one win from their last ten games, suffering seven losses and two draws.

Manchester City’s recent poor run of form has put Guardiola in the spotlight, and there have even been talks that he could part ways with the club despite signing a contract extension recently.H

However, the former Barcelona man has maintained that leaving Manchester City is not an option for him presently. He insists that he will see out the struggles and help his side back to winning ways.

“More than ever I’d regret leaving Man City now! I couldn’t sleep, even worse if I think now I’m leaving the situation. Impossible”, Guardiola said, per Fabrizio Romano.

“If they sack me, that could happen, if we continue. But leaving now?! No chance. If Khaldoon isn’t happy, they can do it”.

Next for Manchester City is a game against Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium. After losing to Juventus in midweek, the reigning Premier League champions will be looking to return to winning ways.
