Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen delivered a standout performance, scoring twice to lead Galatasaray to a commanding 5-1 victory over Kayserispor in their Turkish Super Lig clash on Sunday.
The Nigerian forward got things rolling early, confidently converting a penalty in the fourth minute to give Galatasaray an immediate advantage. He struck again in the 71st minute, netting the team’s fourth goal with a composed finish, as Okan Buruk’s side maintained their dominance.
Speaking after the game, Osimhen expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance and his life in Turkey since his arrival.
“I think it was very important to come to this team and be a part of this big club. They made me feel at home. I adapted very easily with Barış, Yunus, Gabi, and Dries. I learned their game quickly. I was happy to be able to help. We are undefeated in Europe. We have to go step by step. We continue on our way in the Super Lig,” the 25-year-old said.
Osimhen has been in sensational form this season, contributing 12 goals and five assists across all competitions for the Yellow and Reds. His presence in the squad has been a driving force behind Galatasaray’s success, keeping them firmly at the top of the Super Lig standings with 44 points from 16 matches.
Baris Yilmaz also delivered a stellar performance, scoring twice, while Yunus Akgun added another goal to complete the rout for Galatasaray.
