Inter Milan forward Marcus Thuram has reportedly been a subject of transfer interest among top European clubs, including former English Premier League winners Liverpool and French league champions Paris Saint Germain.
The 27-year old who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2028, having joined from German side Borussia Monchengladbach on a free transfer in 2023, has been a pivotal part of Simeone Inzaghi’s side as they look to retain their Serie A crown.
The France international who has been in scintillating form has scored 13 goals and provided a further six assists in 21 appearances in the Italian Serie A and the UEFA Champions League this season. He is currently tied with Atalanta forward Mateo Retegui as the league top scorers with 12 goals.
Thuram has a release clause of about €85 million which is deemed affordable and Inter Milan could be open to a sale, as it would be of great financial benefit to the club considering he was signed on a free transfer just over a year ago.
English Premier League leaders Liverpool could be prepared to part ways with Italian winger Federico Chiesa, who has barely featured for the side and Thuram is seen as an ideal replacement due to his versatility.
On the other hand, French giants Paris Saint Germain could be ready to make a move for the center-forward, who is seen as a suitable replacement for either Portugal international Goncalo Ramos or French star Randal Kolo Muani, who have both been linked with a move away from Luis Enrique’s side.
Thuram’s versatility, movement and pace in attack would be of great importance to any of the team that gets to sign him if he eventually makes a move away from the Giuseppe Meaza.
