Spanish La liga side Real Betis, are reportedly said to be interested in the signature of Manchester United winger Antony.
The 2022 Copa Del Rey champions are said to be interested in bringing the Brazilian to the Estadio Benito Villamarin on loan this January, as they look to offer him a route out of Manchester United.
Antony joined the Red Devils from Netherlands side Ajax Amsterdam in the summer of 2022, for a fee of £86 million under former Manchester United Dutch manager Erik Ten Hag.
The left-footed winger has proved to be a disappointing signing for the club, and has failed to live up to his ‘hefty’ price tag. Known for his flair and dribbling abilities, he has barely featured for the side and has been largely unimpressive when called upon.
Despite his impressive performances in Netherlands, Antony has been unable showcase why his former manager broke the bank for his signature, with just 12 goals and five assists in 93 appearances in all competitions for the Red Devils.
This season, the 24-year old has made 11 appearances in all competitions for Manchester United. He has started just three times, in the EFL cup and in the UEFA Europa League, but is yet to make the starting eleven in the English Premier League this season and has been limited to just two substitute appearances since Ruben Amorim took over.
The Red Devils are reportedly interested in a permanent sale to fund the transfer of other targets for head coach Ruben Amorim, although they could let him leave on loan temporarily to free up space in the team.
Real Betis manager Manuel Pellegrini is also a fan of Antony’s style and a move away from Old Trafford could offer the Brazil international a chance to reignite his career.
