Former European Champions AC Milan are interested in signing Barcelona midfielder, Dani Olmo on loan till the end of the season.
The 26-year old joined the Spanish giants from German side RB Leipzig in the summer, but may not feature for the club again this season as he has not been registered by the club.
The Spanish international was removed from Laliga’s registration list, after Barcelona failed to meet up with the financial fair play requirements.
Efforts by Club’s president Joan Laporta, to register the midfielder alongside Pau Victor has been futile as Laliga and the Spanish football federation have rejected all efforts for their registration.
Dani Olmo has scored six goals in 15 appearances for the Catalan giants this season and has been one of the most impressive players for Hansi Flick’s side.
Top European clubs have been put at alert by his contractual situation at Barcelona but the Italian giants have emerged as front runners for his signature.
AC Milan have struggled for consistency in the Italian Serie A this season and have been over-reliant on United States midfielder Christian Pulisic, to provide a spark for the team this season.
Olmo’s impressive dribbling abilities and his knack for scoring crucial goals is key to his game, and a move could be on the cards to the Italian side on a six month loan which will offer him a way back to Barcelona in time for registration for the 2025/26 season.
