Report: Paris Saint Germain contacts Napoli over possible move for €85 million-rated star

French giants, PSG have contacted Napoli in an attempt to secure move for star man, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, during the ongoing transfer window.

Georgian star Kvaratskhelia joined Napoli from Dinamo Batumi for less than €10 million in 2022 and he immediately established himself as a key player in the team. Two seasons ago, he struck a deadly partnership with Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen to leading the Partenopei to their first Scudetto title in 33 years.

In his two years at the club, Kvaratskhelia has provided 30 goals and 29 assists in 107 appearances across all competitions.

His impressive performances have caught the eye of several top clubs in Europe, but it appears that PSG are the most interested. It is not surprising though, as the reigning French kings are searching for a replacement for Kylian Mbappe.

Kvaratskhelia’s future might be in France, as PSG are currently in talks with Napoli to sign the talented 23-year-old from the Italian side.

Having failed to sign Kvaratskhelia in the summer of 2024 from the Italian team, Le Parisien are now back in the race and are willing to sign him in the coming weeks, according to L’ Equipe.

According to speculations, the player is open to the idea of leaving the Azzurri this winter after talks between his camp and Napoli over a new deal stalled in the past weeks.

However, PSG are said to face fierce competition from Manchester United who are proposing the idea of exchanging Marcus Rashford for the winger.

Nonetheless, Napoli would only sell to the highest bidder, as club owner Aurelio Di Lauretiis is known to always milk suitors. Kvaratskhelia is currently valued at €85 million on Transfermarkt.
