German forward Arijon Ibrahimovic is set to complete his loan move to Italian Serie A side Lazio.
According to reports by Fabrizio Romano, the 19-year old German international has landed in Roma to complete his €8m/ €10m loan move to Lazio, with option to buy.
The player landed at Fiumicino Airport in Rome on Sunday evening and was greeted by the media and over 50 Lazio supporters, and is set to undergo medical examinations on Monday morning to complete the move.
Last season, the Bayern Munich midfielder was on loan with Frosinone, where he made 16 Serie A appearances, scoring once and providing one assist – initially showcasing his potential. However, a mixture of injuries and poor form has hindered his campaign, leaving him without a goal or assist across the remainder of the season as his game time plummeted.
When in form, the 19-year old is renowned for his versatility across different positions in the midfield, making him a valuable asset for both club and country. However, his inability to remain fit has cast doubt over his time in Frosinone.
Having also been unable to force his way into Vincent Kompany’s side, the German international will be hoping to revitalise his career with I Biancocelesti, and Lazio will be hoping that he manages to stay fit during his campaign.
Despite having the same name, he is not related to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
