English Premier League side Nottingham Forest, are reportedly open to the sale of Nigerian striker Emmanuel Dennis.

The 27-year old ‘forgotten’ man could be given an a lifeline away from the club, as they are open to sanctioning a sale with several clubs said to be jostling for his signature.

The former Watford striker was deemed surplus to requirements by Nuno Espirito Santo at the beginning of the season, and was not registered for the Premier League high-flying side this season with the likes of Chris Wood, Taiwo Awoniyi, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Anthony Elanga preferred to him.

Dennis moved to City Ground from Watford in August 2022, and has failed to replicate the form which made him one of the most sought after forwards two years ago. He has rarely featured and has been disappointing when offered the chance to play.

He scored just two goals in 27 appearances in all competitions in is first season and was initially loaned to Turkish side Istanbul Basaksehir at the beginning of the 2023/24 season. After a poor loan stint, he was recalled back by Nottingham Forest before he was loaned back to his former club, Watford for the rest of the season.

Reports have suggested that clubs from the Spanish Laliga, Italian Serie A and the English SkyBet Championship are willing to offer the Nigerian striker an escape from his dilemma.

With the former Club Brugge forward entering the final year of his contract, and having been exiled from Forest’s first team, he would favor a move away in a bid to reignite his career.
