Brentford manager Thomas Frank, has stated that the team faces a tough task ahead of them when the host league leaders Liverpool on Saturday.
The Bees come into the game on the back of a 2-2 draw with Champions Manchester City on Tuesday, and host the Reds who have not lost in the league since a 1-0 defeat against Nottingham Forest in September.
Speaking ahead of the weekend’s encounter, Frank has warned that his side have to be cautious and brave to get a result against Arne Slot’s side.
“Of course we will try to do the same against Liverpool. It will be difficult. I think for me and for us the performance was so good in terms of the way we want to do it”, Frank said.
“We were brave playing out but also brave in high pressure, brave in a lot of other phases, and I think we need to be brave again on Saturday.”
Goals from Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah, secured a comfortable 2-0 win over Brentford when both sides met in August, and Frank expects a different result this time around.
“I expect an entertaining game. I expect a game that, at times, will be end-to-end.
It’s about how we can play to our strengths but also acknowledge and be aware of what Liverpool are very good at: they’re probably the best transition team in the world”, he added.
