AC Milan senior advisor Zlatan Ibrahimovic, has confirmed that the Italian giants are considering a swoop for Manchester City captain Kyle Walker.
The England defender, who requested a move from the Premier League champions earlier this month, is reportedly subject of transfer interest from the Italian club and Ibrahimovic who had a successful playing career in his days with spells in Spain, France, Italy, Netherlands and England is hopeful a deal can be done this month.
“Everyone knows that Walker is a great player, for Man City, Tottenham and England,” he said, as reported by Calciomercato.
“There is a lot of interest. He doesn’t go against our strategy and vision, he is a leader and dominates the dressing room, so let’s see what we can do.”
The 34-year old Walker joined City in 2017 from English rivals Spurs, and has been part of a hugely successful squad under Pep Guardiola including winning the treble in 2023.
“We talk to Conceição every day, we know what is needed and we work on it.
The more I talk, the more the players cost. New names come out every day, the agents play their game”, Ibrahimovic continued.
The Italian side are also interested in signing Walker’s England teammate Marcus Rashford, who has been subject of transfer speculation since the arrival of Portuguese manager Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford in November.
With the former Spurs defender open to a move away from the Etihad, AC Milan could secure his services if a transfer agreement is reached with the Premier League Champions.
