Lazio midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, is reportedly subject of interest from English Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion.
The 23-year old joined the Biancocelesti earlier this summer from Turkish side Hatayspor on a loan move with an obligation to buy, and despite initially struggling to adapt to the demands of the Italian Serie A, he has grown to become one of the most influential players for Marco Baroni’s side.
The Manchester City academy product has scored four goals and provided two assists in 17 appearances in all competitions this season, and has featured in the Italian side’s last four Serie A matches, including capping off his impressive outing against Atalanta in December with a brilliant goal which drew praises from his manager.
“Dele is improving every day.
He played a lot in the Europa League this season and perhaps needs more quality in his passing, but he is physically very effective”, Baroni heaped praises on the 23-year old in his post-match interview.
Dele-Bashiru’s versatility is a pivotal aspect of his game, as he can play in various positions in the attack. He can feature as an attacking midfielder, a central midfielder and also as a left winger.
Brighton, who are looking to strengthen their squad as they hope to challenge for an European spot at the end of the season, view the Nigerian midfielder as a key player in achieving their goal.
