Ruben Amorim challenges Manchester United stars to improve

Manchester United head coach, Ruben Amorim has expressed his concerns over United’s decline in form since arriving at the club.

Amorim took over the helm at United in November following Ten Hag’s dismissal as head coach after the team suffered consecutive losses which saw them trail seven points behind in the top four race.

However, under Amorim, United has lost seven of their last ten league matches – the latest being a 3-1 loss to Brighton at home – to edge closer to the relegation zone (10 points) than the top four (12 points).

After United’s latest defeat, Amorim  described his side as “the worst team in the history of Manchester United” stressing the need for a change.

In a recent interview with Sky Sports, Amorim reflects on his comments:

“You have to look really hard to find a team like Manchester United that lose seven games, and that is on me, because it’s the same players doing worse with the new coach,” he said

“We have to improve. The way we play, we are too nervous with the ball, and really anxious.

We are performing really bad and our results are really bad at the moment,” he said.

United are currently 13th in the premier league, with growing speculations linking players including Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Johny Evans and Tyrel Malacia away from the club.

United will resume action this Thursday when they take on Rangers in the Europa League at Old Trafford.
