Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen was disappointed with the results as Galatasaray dropped points for a second consecutive match, after they were held to a 3-3 draw by Dynamo Kiev in the UEFA Europa League.
The Turkish champions suffered another setback following their weekend’s draw against Hatayspor, as they missed the chance to move into the top three in the Europa League standings.
The Lions raced into a two-goal lead with goals from Davinson Sanchez and Abdulkerim Bardakci, before the Ukrainian side pulled one back on the stroke of halftime through Vladyslav Vanat as the hosts went into the break ahead.
“We are disappointed. We thought we deserved more”, Osimhen said after the match.
“We need to take responsibility as a team. I think we all made mistakes. They also fought well and scored goals.
There were two consecutive draws. Now we need to work and learn from our mistakes. We need to focus on the upcoming matches.”
On-loan Napoli striker Osimhen, scored his 15th goal of the campaign to put Galatasaray 3-1 up, before loss of concentration in defense allowed the visitors to score twice through former West Ham United striker Andriy Yarmolenko.
“We need to work and learn from our mistakes. We need to understand each other better at certain moments”, he continued.
“If I’m going strong, I look at who I can pass to and who I can receive the pass from.
We could have scored more goals today. We need to learn from our mistakes and be better.”
