Real Madrid star debunks Saudi Arabia rumors, affirms commitment to club’s success

Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior has dismissed rumors linking him to a move to Saudi Arabia, emphasizing his commitment to the club.

The 24-year old who recently won the FIFA player of the year award, was on target twice in Wednesday’s 5-1 victory over Salzburg in the UEFA Champions League, taking his season’s tally to 16 goals and 10 assists in all competitions this season.

The Brazilian international has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia since the summer of 2023, and while he has come out to deny any agreement to the clubs, he has also stated his desire to win more trophies at Los Blancos.

“My next step is to always keep my mind on improving my game, continuing to develop, and helping the biggest club in the world”, the Brazilian said.

“I dreamed of getting here, and playing with great players. That’s my dream, to think now, to think big and to be able to win more trophies in this shirt.”

Vinicius also stated his desire at working with French forward Kylian Mbappe, who joined in the summer and has competed with the Brazilian for the left-wing position, and also his countryman Rodrygo.

“We are very happy with Kylian. The beginning is always complicated, but he managed to adapt well. Kylian is such a big player that even when he’s adapting, he still scores lots of goals.

Rodrygo and I are going to do all that we can for Mbappé to be top scorer in every competition, because that’s why he came here”, he continued.
