FC Barcelona are hoping to sell centre-back Andreas Christensen to Manchester United in a move which would give them enough salary space to sign Marcus Rashford on loan from the Red Devils in the current transfer window.
According to reports, the Blaugrana have made Rashford their priority in the transfer market, and have discussed personal terms with his agents about the amount of his wages, which will require either Rashford or United to compromise on.
However, it appears Barcelona are hoping to get rid of Christensen in order to create sufficient space in their salary limit to initiate the offer.
Barcelona appear to have convinced Ronald Araujo to stay at the club for the coming seasons, which has raised question marks over the future of Andreas Christensen.
On the other hand, Marcus Rashford is going through a challenging time at Manchester United having fallen out of favour with head coach, Ruben Amorim, having hinted his desire to leave the club ‘ for a new challenge’ away from Old Trafford last month.
Rashford would fit perfectly into Flick’s offensive scheme, especially on the left wing, where Barça has been seeking solutions for some time. With economically unattainable options like Luis Díaz, Rafael Leão, or Alexander Isak, Rashford emerges as a realistic and quality alternative
