Mathys Tel reportedly wants to leave Bayern Munich before the January transfer window shuts.
As first reported by Italian football expert, Fabrizio Romano, the 19-year-old has decided to leave Bayern before the winter transfer window shuts on February 3. He adds the Blues enquired about the French forward but multiple clubs are interested in signing him.
Tel made 41 appearances for Bayern last season, scoring 10 goals and bagging six assists along the way. This term, the teenager has appeared in just 13 matches scoring a meagre three goals.
Reports also revealed that Chelsea are interested in signing the teenager and The Blues had asked for Tell at the beginning of the month. However, more clubs appear to be interested in the former Rennes ace.
Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany also revealed that Bayern Munich were considering several loan deals for the forward.
While talks have not progressed in recent weeks, Tel’s latest admission could see Chelsea move swiftly to beat competition for the youngster.
It is more likely than not that Bayern would be open to selling Tel as it would allow them to pursue a move for Nkunku, who has been linked with a move to the Bundesliga Giants in recent times.
If Tel remains with Bayern, Nkunku could find himself the subject of negotiations with Man Utd, who are keen on the Frenchman as a replacement for Chelsea target Garnacho.
