Akor Adams: Former Flying Eagles star ready for challenge at new club

Former Flying Eagles star Jerome Akor Adams has revealed he is ready to give his best after joining former Europa League winners Sevilla on Monday.

The 24-year old joined the Spanish side from French outfit Montpellier for a fee of about €5.5 million, and has stated he is ready to make a positive impact after signing a deal that will keep him at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan until 2029.

“I’m a complete striker who wants to help. I’m going to give it my all and you’ll see and define me when I start playing,

It has been a very good few days and with many good people. I am very happy to be here. All the negotiations have been with my agent. We know that Sevilla are a great club and I am very happy to have arrived”, he said.

The Nigerian international also revealed that countrymen Chidera Ejuke and former Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho, who has been linked with a move away from the club, were influential in his decision to move to the Spanish side.

“I spoke to Ejuke and he told me that I had to come here, that I would love it. Kelechi is a great player and he also told me that. I’m very happy that I listened to them”, the 24-year old added.

The former Lillestrom striker is expected to make his debut for the Rojiblancos when they travel to Getafe in the Spanish Laliga on Saturday.
