Former West Bromich Albion defender Ifeanyi Udeze has implored Nottingham Forest defender Ola Aina to consider a move to Premier League champions Manchester City, if the opportunity comes in the summer.
The Super Eagles defender has been one of the standout performers for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side this season and has featured in all our their league games this season. The former Torino defender moved to the City Ground in 2023 and although his current contract expires in the summer, he is yet to agree an extension with the side.
Udeze who was also on the books of Greek sides PAOK and AEK Athens, praised the former Chelsea defender for his remarkable performances, while stating a move to Pep Guardiola’s side is the next big step for his career.
“I expect him to leave Nottingham Forest at the end of the season,” Udeze said in an interview.
“If I’m Aina and a club like Manchester City come for me, I will leave.
For me, I believe Ola Aina is the best right-back in the Premier League this season,” Udeze added.
The league champions have been linked with a move for the 28-year old and a deal could be agreed in the summer, with England international Kyle Walker expected to leave the club permanently, after initially joining Italian side AC Milan on loan in the January transfer window.
