Abia Warriors goalkeeper Nmecha Johnson is confident his side will come out on top when they face Kwara United in the Nigeria Premier Football League on Wednesday.
The Abia-based side travel to Ilorin to face the Afonja Warriors in a Matchday 26 clash, looking to consolidate on their bright start to the campaign as they currently sit fourth, level on points with third-placed Rivers United.
“It’s not going to be an easy game, because we know what we came here for or what we’re here for. So, it’s not going to be easy”, he said.
“Kwara United are a good side, and looking at where they are on the table, I think it’s not going to be an easy game, it’s going to be a very tough game which we are very, very prepared for.”
Johnson is also wary of facing his former manager Tunde Sani, who is currently at the helm of affairs at Kwara United, who also have former players of the Abia side in their ranks.
“It’s a normal thing, it’s football so, players come and go, you get to meet a lot of people and you play games. I know the kind of quality they have so, we are very, very prepared, and we are looking forward to meeting them again”, he continued.
