“It will be great”- Troost-Ekong relishes facing Liverpool star amid Saudi Arabia links

Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong is pleased at the chance of playing against Egyptian maestro Mohamed Salah, if he decides to make a move to the Saudi Premier League in the summer.

The Liverpool forward whose current contract expires in the summer, has been linked with a move to Asian giants Al Hilal with no talks of a concrete agreement with the Reds for a contract extension.

Troost-Ekong who also plays in the Saudi Premier League for Al-Kholood, is relishing the opportunity of playing against one of the best players in the world, should a move materialize in the summer.

“I think there’s massive talk about Mo Salah coming to play at Al-Hilal. I think it is the club that has been named.

I think he is the most sought-after player, maybe also because of his background, and how much they loved him here. It will be great to see that, I will be welcoming it”, the Nigerian international said.

Salah has been one of the most in-form players in the world this season, contributing 30 goals and 21 assists in 38 matches played in all competitions despite his contractual situation at the club.

“I think it is going to add another very difficult two fixtures to my season. But I will be very happy to see big players coming to the Saudi league”, he added.
