Brazilian star, Neymar has been told he must score 15 goals at Santos if Barcelona are to consider a potential return to the club after eight years.
Recent reports suggest that Barca are monitoring Neymar’s situation ahead of a potentially sensational return to Camp Nou.
He moved to Santos from Al-Hilal in January, but there is already said to be a plan afoot to bring him back to Barcelona. The 33-year old signed a 6-month contract with his boyhood club after an 18-month injury-marish stay at Saudi club, Al Hilal.
His deal with Santos runs until June and the Catalan want the 33-year-old to prove he can get back to his pre-injury best before they entertain the idea of adding him to Hansi Flick’s team.
The Brazilian won the Champions League with FC Barcelona in 2015 having arrived at the club two years earlier but departed in 2017 to join Paris Saint-Germain. He did not manage to win the Champions League but he may well have another chance if he is able to return to Europe in the summer. Neymar is reportedly eager to make the return to the Catalan club, where he enjoyed the happiest days of his career.
