Chelsea Join Race To Sign Jude Bellingham’s Brother, Jobe Bellingham

Chelsea are reportedly keen on signing Sunderland star Jobe Bellingham after missing out on signing his illustrious brother Jude Bellingham.

According to The Sun, Chelsea have entered the race to sign the Black Cats ace this summer but Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen are already on his trail. The report adds the 19-year-old is likely to be sold this summer if Sunderland fail to achieve promotion to the Premier League.

Chelsea had initially attempted to sign Jude when he was still a teenager at Birmingham City but the 21-year old had opted for a move to German side Borussia Dortmund and the rest is history. It appears The Blues are eager not to repeat their Bellingham mistake, this time with younger brother Jobe.

The report adds Tottenham and Crystal Palace are also in the race for the youngster but Chelsea joining the race is now seen as a ‘game changer’.

Since moving from Birmingham to Sunderland in 2023, Jobe has scored 11 goals and bagged four assists in 79 appearances. He has also proven to be quite versatile playing as a forward, in central midfield, defensive midfield, and attacking midfield.

It remains to be seen whether The Blues will finally land a Bellingham trophy in the summer. On the other hand, Jobe is likely to feature for Sunderland on Tuesday at home to Preston North End.
