Manchester United receive huge injury boost ahead of tough April fixtures

Manchester United have been handed a huge boost ahead of their tough run of fixtures in April with four key players set to make their return from injury.

United’s season has been plagued by persistent injuries to key players with the Red Devils, who have seriously struggled in the Premier League, forced to name mostly academy players on the substitutes bench in recent weeks.

Despite their lack of personnel, Ruben Amorim’s side have managed to stay unbeaten in their last seven outings. In that time, they secured an impressive point against Arsenal and dispatched Real Sociedad to reach the Europa League quarter finals.

Heading into April, United’s next five fixtures include big games against high-flying Nottingham Forest and an unpredictable Manchester City. A two-legged Europa League quarter finals follows with a trip to Newcastle United in-between.

With these tough fixtures on the horizon, the Red Devils will be delighted by the potential return of key stars Harry Maguire, Leny Yoro, Kobbie Mainoo and Isaac Ayden-Heaven from injury as relayed by Manchester Evening News.

Maguire last featured for United at the start of March with his last appearance coming in that FA Cup penalty shootout defeat against Fulham. Yoro has also been out of action since early March after suffering a foot injury.

Mainoo on the other hand has endured a much longer spell on the sidelines with a muscle injury keeping him in the treatment room for the past two months.

News of Heaven’s imminent return comes as a huge surprise after the winter window signing was stretchered off the pitch in United’s last game against Leicester City. The 19-year-old has massively impressed since his arrival and fans will be eager to see him return to the fold.
