Mbappe expected back for Real Madrid ahead of Barca return

Kylian Mbappe is expected to be available from Real Madrid Copa del Rey final against Real Madrid Barcelona after he recovered from an injury.

Mbappe sustained an ankle injury during Real Madrid’s second-leg of their Champions League quarter-final loss against Arsenal last week rising questions over his availability for the Copa del Rey final against Barcelona this weekend at the Estadio de La Cartuja. The 24-year old alse missed missing Los Blancos’ 1-0 win over Getafe on Wednesday.

Reports by Spanish outlet Marca revealed Kylian is expected to be available for the Copa del Rey final as Madrid look to salvage the possibility of a trophyless season.

The report also revealed that the Frenchman is back on the training ground with Los Blancos and the coaching staff expect that Mbappe should be fit enough to be included in the squad for the Clasico.

Real Madrid are yet to secure a win against Barcelona this season as the Catalan side salvaged scintillating wins in both encounters winning 4-0 in La Liga and 5-2 in the Supercopa de Espana.

Real Madrid will be keen on avoiding the same fate yet again on Saturday, April 26, as they take on Barcelona in the Copa del Rey final and If reports are to be believed, the clash could very well be Carlo Ancelotti’s last match in charge of Los Blancos.
