Maddison backs Postecoglou amidst tough League season

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder James Maddison has voiced his entire support for Ange Postecoglou.

The English outfit are 16th on the domestic league standings with 37 points so far having suffered 19 losses in their present campaign.Madison emphasized the team’s commitment to their boss despite their Premier League challenge.

“We are behind the manager 100%,” Maddison revealed.

“I think he’s a great man. We have had a poor season, especially in the league. We’ve been very good in Europe, but the league season has been unacceptable.”

Faith in the gaffer

The England international stated clearly that Postecoglou still has authority in the dressing room. The players stay loyal to the manager’s approach even if fans and experts keep debating his future.

He continued: “He’s my manager, he’s my gaffer and I respect him an awful amount. The narrative [of Postecoglou’s job being under threat] is something we players are trying to keep away from because it’s not healthy.”

European achievement boosts hope

Spurs’ European tournament has been a highlight even in light of home losses since it provides an opportunity to finish the season with silverware. The 28-year-old thinks the European run could still make the year remarkable.

“I just know that I come into work every day and see the lads listening and taking on the messages on how he wants us to play and doing the best for this club and we are in a real good position in Europe, where we can still have a special season under his management.”

Goals set on a great finish

In essence, the English player intends to be faithful to the Australian manager and keep striving till the conclusion.

“I will continue to do that until the day he isn’t here.”

The North London side will continue their form in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday as they host Bodø/Glimt in the first leg of their encounter.
