Garnacho affirms happiness at Man United amid transfer speculations

Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho has stated that he is happy at the club despite rumors linking him with an exit.

What Garnacho said

“I have a contract here until 2028 so I am happy here,” Garnacho said. “We know we have to work hard to be even in the squad and I just have to train well every day and I will be available for all the games.

I think it is not easy when, in the middle of the season, you change the manager and all the staff but in my mind it is always to try to work hard every day and show the manager I need to play and that is the only thing I need to do.”

Will Garnacho remain at Man United beyond next summer?

The 20-year old forward was linked with an exit in the winter, with Napoli showing interest as they hoped to sign him as a replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who secured a move to join French champions PSG.

Premier League rivals Chelsea also expressed interest in the Argentine, although there was no concrete offer at the time.

The academy graduate has become a key part of manager Ruben Amorim’s squad in recent months although talks of cashing in on the young winger in the summer has resurfaced, as the Red Devils look to fund their summer transfer plans.

What next for Manchester United?

Despite a troubling league campaign, Manchester United remain the only unbeaten side in Europe this season.

The Red Devils host Spanish side Athletic Bilbao in the Europa League semifinal second leg on Thursday night, with a 3-0 advantage from the first leg.

The winner of the tie goes on to face Tottenham Hotspur or Bodo/Glimt in the final at San Mames on the 21st of May.
