Former Super Eagles gaffer Gernot Rohr has suggested that a move to the English Premier League would suit Nantes forward Moses Simon.
The 28-year old current contract expires in the summer and with no concrete agreement between the player and the club, interest from other clubs have intensified.
Moses impact at Nantes
The Nigerian winger has been one of the best players at the French club since joining on an initial loan deal in 2019.
This season, the Super Eagles forward has 16 goal contributions in 30 league appearances, signifying his growing influence at the Ligue One side.
What Rohr said
“England would be a good challenge. He speaks the language, and many Nigerian players have succeeded there. His pace, technical skills, and eye for goal make him a great fit for the Premier League.

“Moses Simon is having a strong personal season despite being in a struggling team — 7 goals and 9 assists speak for themselves,” the 71-year old said.
Rohr who coached the Nantes star during his time as head coach of the Nigerian National team, also lauded the winger’s impressive showing in France.
“It’s no surprise that bigger clubs are watching him. He’s hardworking, listens well, and always puts the team first. While he might not score 20 or 25 goals a season due to his role as a winger, his ability to both score and assist makes him crucial to any attack.”

The Benin Republic coach also suggested French giants Marseille as a likely destination. He said: “OM would benefit from his signing, especially if they qualify for the Champions League. The schedule would be demanding, and a player like Simon could be key”.
