Mourinho reacts to Fenerbahce exit speculations amid Portugal links

Jose Mourinho has reiterated his commitment to current club Fenerbahce, pouring cold water on speculations tying him to talks regarding a potential switch to the Portuguese national team this summer.

What happened?

Mourinho’s time in Turkey hasn’t gone according to plan so far. The Special One was unable to dislodge Galatasaray from their perch at the summit of the Turkish Super Lig as the Lions mounted a successful title defense to clinch their 25th crown.

The former Manchester United manager also saw his team knocked out of the Turkish Cup by their bitter rivals to leave the Yellow Canaries empty handed on the domestic front after his first season at the helm.

Recent reports circulating numerous media outlets especially in Portugal suggest that Mourinho has held talks with those in charge of the Portuguese national team about potentially leaving Fenerbahce to replace Roberto Martinez as head coach of the Selecao.
