Manchester United massive revamp of the summer.

The 26-year-old Brazilian has been a major priority for Manchester United—as they embark on a massive revamp of Ruben Amorim’s squad this summer—and he is keen on the switch after spending two-and-a-half seasons at Molineux.

Cunha, who joined Wolves from RB Leipzig on loan in January 2023 before completing a permanent move for £43m that summer scored 17 goals in 36 matches across all competitions this season, the most productive campaign of his career despite missing six games through suspension.

His tally of 15 Premier League goals puts him ahead of the United squad, with Bruno Fernandes and Amad right being joint-top of the club’s league scoring chart with eight goals. Strikers Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirzkee come right after managing four and three respectively. The Brazilian previously played for Atletico Madrid, Hertha Berlin and FC Sion, and has been capped 13 times by the Brazil national team.

Versatility, creativity, and goal scoring ability

Cunha has been Wolves’ key player this season. Despite rarely playing as a striker, a tally of 15 Premier League goals shows how much he could bring to a Manchester United team following a dismissal run of the 2024/25 campaign having shouldered the attacking responsibility to help his side stay off relegation.

Playing as a left-sided No 10, Cunha’s ability to capitalize on small spaces will often mean that all attacking roads lead through the Brazil international. United have witnessed his cheeky, South American flair first-hand after Cunha’s Olimpico goal gave Wolves the lead in their Boxing Day clash this season.

With Amorim’s side in desperate need of a player to bring fresh energy to the attack, Cunha could be the perfect player to link the midfield and forward line — particularly given that he is adept at playing in a 3-4-2-1 system.

With his ability to excel, anywhere across the front line, Cunha offers versatility, creativity, and goalscoring ability–the perfect combination for an elite forward
