Liverpool fresh signee Jeremie Frimpong is buzzing with enthusiasm as he looks forward to a new chapter at Anfield.
Talking during his first formal interview with Liverpoolfc.com, the right-back discussed how the agreement started and why he could not refuse.
What made Liverpool the clear choice?
Frimpong was not hesitating when the Reds expressed interest.

“It went quite easy,” he remarked. “Liverpool came and said they had interest, and obviously for me it was a no-brainer.
“For me, it was like, ‘Whatever you guys do, just get this done,’” he relayed to his agents.
With the agreement locked, the player is concentrating on giving his best the current Premier League champions.
Who inspired Frimpong’s confidence?
Arne Slot, Liverpool’s new gaffer, already had a great influence in his decision.
He added: “I spoke to the manager a few times. He sounds very positive. He says I can bring a lot of energy and my qualities, my speed.
“When a manager talks positively about you, it gives you confidence. It shows he believes in you.”
The 24-year-old defender also disclosed that Dutch national team colleagues had extremely high regard for Slot.

“Some of the Feyenoord boys would tell me, ‘He’s the best coach I’ve ever had,’” he revealed. “So I’ve always heard good things about the coach. Now he’s going to be my coach, so I’m excited for that.”
What promise did he give the Reds’ fans?
In his address to fans, the Dutch defender was not restrained.
He continued: “Liverpool fans, I’m going to give my all—my energy, my work-rate. Hopefully we can win together, we celebrate together, get everything together.
“I’m just excited to be here. Thank you guys for accepting me. I won’t let you down. I’ll give you the energy that you guys want,” he concluded.
