Manchester United have reportedly made it clear to Barcelona that their stance over the acceptable requirements to part ways with Marcus Rashford this summer will not be easily changed.
What happened?
Manchester United are looking to offload Rashford this summer following the Carrington product’s falling out with Ruben Amorim last season.
The Red Devils are believed to be seeking a fee in the region of €40 million to cut ties with the electric English winger. His fantastic half season loan spell at Aston Villa has further reinforced United’s stance.
With Rashford on the market, one club that has made no secret of its desire to add the England international to their ranks is Spanish champions Barcelona.
However, the Blaugrana are thought to find Man United’s demands too steep and they are reportedly more open to a loan move that will include an obligation to buy for a cut-price fee.

Manchester United’s message to Barcelona
Reacting to Barcelona’s current stance, the Red Devils have warned their Spanish counterparts that they will not consider any offer that is not in tandem with their demands to facilitate Rashford’s sale as per SPORT.
What next?
Rashford enjoyed his time at Villa but their failure to secure Champions League qualification takes them out of the equation as the 27-year-old wants to play UCL football next season. This leaves Barcelona as his most preferred destination.
While the Blaugrana have openly courted the winger, they may be forced to look at alternative options if they cannot get Manchester United to play ball.
