Real Madrid sign River Plate’s Mastantuono in long-term deal

Real Madrid CF have formally confirmed the acquisition of Argentine wonder Franco Mastantuono.

Committed to a long-term agreement until June 30, 2031, the attacking midfielder will join the team on August 14, 2025.

Who is Mastantuono?

The 17-year-old is South America’s most promising talent. From 2019 to 2024, he climbed the ladder of River Plate’s academy.

He had already made history and broken into the first team by the 2024–2025 season. He became River Plate’s youngest-ever scorer in February 2024. He lifted the Argentine Super Cup in the same year, confirming his quick ascent.

Mastantuono has made his mark on both club and nation at just 17 years old. He now holds the youngest player ever to play an official game for the Argentine national team.
