Premier League giants Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool have been dealt a huge blow in their bid to land Ajax Amsterdam’s young and versatile Dutch defender Jorrel Hato this summer transfer window.
At just 19-years-old, Hato has made a name for himself as one of Europe’s most exciting young defensive talents. Thanks to his ability to feature at center back or left-back, he is already a regular starter for both club and country.
As is the norm in football, Hato’s talent is attracting solid interest from some of Europe’s biggest teams, with Premier League trio Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool all eyeing a potential move for the youngster this summer according to reports.
Jorrel Hato is in no rush to leave Ajax despite exit speculations
Despite his immense talent and the ongoing rumours surrounding his future ahead of next season, Jorrel Hato appears to be a level headed young man.
Speaking about his future with Ajax’s official media team, the 19-year-old revealed he is in no rush to make a big move as he is more focused on developing his game at Ajax where he feels “at home.”

What Jorrel Hato said about his future
“The smartest thing is to look at it per season,” he told club media when asked what the 2025–26 campaign will hold.
“That’s what I do. Of course you want to achieve things in the end: the Champions League, a World Cup and a European Championship.
“I still have plenty of time. I don’t think, ‘I absolutely have to win the Champions League in two years’.
“In the Dutch league you have to show how good you are against the big clubs. Ultimately I have to continue to develop the things I am already good at, so that it becomes top.
“How do I describe my time at Ajax? Ajax is home for me. I just feel at home here.”
What next?
With Jorrel Hato barely one year into the four year contract he signed with Ajax last year, the Dutch giants are absolutely under no pressure to part ways with the youngster this summer.
However, it is believed that a fee in the region of £40 million and above will be sufficient to convince the reigning Eredivisie champions to part ways with the highly-rated 19-year-old.
