Liverpool forward Diogo Jota following his Premier League victory has said it is a dream he never believed possible.
The Portuguese star spoke honestly about the emotional path behind the title victory, from first aspirations in Gondomar to glory at Anfield.
What Jota said?
“It was a very tough season for me,” he acknowledged to Liverpoolfc.com.
Halfway through the campaign, an injury almost set his path off track. Before the setback, he had hit great form; hence, the recovery became that much harder.

But the Portugal international helped Liverpool win the championship, an event he claims he will always treasure, and bounced back.
Where his journey started from?
“I’m a small guy from Gondomar with a big dream,” he recollected. “I didn’t even imagine to win it, I just wanted to be there playing.”

The striker’s years in Wolverhampton Wanderers actualized that dream. Becoming a player at Anfield, however, opened a new level.
How does he see his part in the Reds’ success?
He added: “I always played a big part in the teams throughout the years. Finally, we did it.
“It’s a remarkable achievement. A moment I will cherish forever,” he concluded.
The 28-year-old’s soccer ambitions keep changing with the Premier League title and a UEFA Nations League medal.
