In-demand Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo has opened up on his strong relationship with new Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank amid speculations about a reunion with the former Bees boss in North London.
Last season, Mbeumo enjoyed a fantastic campaign for a Brentford side under the tutelage of Frank. The 25-year-old Cameroonian forward hit the 20-goal mark to end the campaign as one of the league’s top scorers.
Bryan Mbeumo is attracting interest from Premier League rivals
Following his stellar performances in the just concluded season, Mbeumo appears ready to make a big move this summer and Manchester United are reportedly looking to make him their second signing after Matheus Cunha.
While the Red Devils have made contact with Brentford and are thought to have even made a £60 million deal, they face serious rival interest from their 24/25 Europa League final nemesis Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs have just only recently poached Thomas Frank from Brentford and reports suggest that the Lilly Whites are confident that the allure of Champions League football as well as a reunion with his former manager will be enough to lure Mbeumo to North London.

Bryan Mbeumo speaks highly of Thomas Frank amid Spurs links
With both Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur currently slugging it out for his signature ahead of next season, Mbeumo did not shy away from revealing his admiration for Spurs’ new gaffer in an interview with Sky Sports.
“He’s done so much for me,” Mbeumo continued. “He literally trusted me from the start.
“I think he developed the team so well. He developed me as a human and a player as well. So I can only wish him all the best, and I’m sure he’s going to do well.
“I think he knows everything. He’s really smart. He knows where he wants to bring the team, how he wants to play, I think he’s been fantastic for Brentford.
“I think he’s going to have some time to adapt, obviously. [Champions League] games, more expectations, as you said, but I’m sure he’s going to do well.
“He knows how to talk to people, he knows how to build a group. And that’s why we’ve been playing so well.”
Where will Bryan Mbeumo end up?
Despite his high praise for Thomas Frank, Mbeumo is thought to favour a move to Manchester United as several reports have claimed. The 25-year-old will most likely be playing in new colours next season but whether in Manchester Red or North London white remains uncertain at the moment.
