Victor Lindelof has revealed he is proud of the contributions and moments he made at Manchester United, as he prepares to leave at the end of the month following the expiration of his contract.
Lindelof, 30, is among nine players set to leave the club at the end of their current deal, alongside Denmark midfielder Christian Eriksen and Northern Ireland defender Jonny Evans.
The Sweden international joined the Red Devils under Jose Mourinho in 2017 from Portuguese side Benfica and leaves after eight years, proud and accomplished.
“A perfect ending,” Lindelof told MUTV, making reference to the club’s 2-0 win over Aston Villa in their final league game last season.

“Clean sheet and a win, so it was a great ending. To spend it with my family here [on the pitch afterwards], as well, was special. So, yeah, I couldn’t have asked for a better ending.
I’ve had so many good memories here,” he continued. “Just looking at the Stretford End here, I mean, I’m going to miss it a lot.”
Lindelof made over 250 appearances for Manchester United since making his debut against Real Madrid in the 2017 UEFA Super Cup, winning the League cup in 2023 and the FA Cup in 2024.
“They’re [the fans] with us through absolutely everything, and it doesn’t matter the result, every single week, they come here and they support us and they sing their souls out”, the Sweden defender added.
“I just want to say thank you so much for taking me in. I’m leaving as a player, but I will always be a fan.”
The 30-year old featured 16 times in an injury hit campaign last season, and is excited to begin a new chapter in his career.
“I wish nothing but the best for the guys and everyone around the club. Yeah, hopefully next season will be a little better than this one. I’m very sure it’s going to be”, he concluded.
Lindelof’s future is uncertain after the end of his contract at Manchester United, although he leaves the club with a sense of pride and accomplishment.
